My name is Danni Guerreiro and I am the owner of Rock-A-Bye Baby Equipment Hire, based in the leafy surrounds of Como where I live and work with my husband and 8 year old daughter.

Rock-A-Bye Baby was born just a few years ago to fill the gap between the products and level of service currently available and the expectations and needs of the modern family. We truly believe that nursery equipment should all be of superb quality, style and safety - whether you own it or hire.

Our commitment to developing the most beautiful equipment for hire range has given us the opportunity to bridge the gap between innovative designers from around the world and the budget of the modern family. Our hire fleet includes products exclusively available for hire from us alone including local and European brands such as Quinny, Stokke, Baby Jogger, Maxi Cosi, Seed Organics, Amby Natures Nest, Babylove, Safe N Sound, Fisher Price and much more. Now anyone can have their dream nursery, filled with contemporary and stylish furniture without blowing the budget. We even have our own “Create your Dream Nursery” zone with a custom built virtual nursery online that you can drop and drag fleet items into and get a quote emailed in return!

We service both local families as well as travelling guests from interstate and overseas who want hassle-free family travel by booking our Sydney Airport Concierge Service - If you are flying into Sydney Airport and plan on hiring a car, we invite you to take advantage of our Concierge Service, enabling you to have your car seat, pram and portacot ready in your car for when you land. All our hired car seats and capsules are installed by our professional restraint fitters prior to your arrival at no extra cost.

Starting a business right from the ground up has meant a great deal of hard work but I’ve been overwhelmed by how motivating and enjoyable it is to work for myself. It is very much a learn as you go, stay right on the tips of your toes experience in the initial stages, but I’ve got all my processes and systems in place now to make (most) days smooth sailing. Learning about marketing has been fascinating, particularly learning about social media and how to use those mediums to the advantage of the business. The biggest challenge for me so far is controlling my stock purchasing – I feel like a kid in a lolly shop and want to buy the newest and best of everything!

My advice to readers who have a business dream - go for it! Sometimes, you just need to jump in with both feet and just do it. And don’t listen to negativity – if you’re certain that your idea is marketable, go right ahead and do it. You can never regret trying.
